5-4-3-2-1 Grounding Technique
This technique is good for those times when your anxiety levels are higher than you want them to be and you find your mind racing.
It doesn't take long to move through these five steps but it will be just what you need to bring yourself into the present moment.

Find five things that you can see.

Four things that you can touch.

Three things that you can hear.
-
Two things that you can smell.
-
One thing that you can taste.
Don't rush through these stages, really pay attention to the sense that you are experiencing
- For example; Four things that you can touch - how does it feel ? Hard? Soft? Smooth?
